It's almost time for GBDC 2024: Jungle Journey!

Friday at Grace Bible Day Camp

Friday was the last day of kingdom exploration at Grace Bible Day Camp!

Friday was the last day of Grace Bible Day Camp (tear). Today was Team Spirit Day, so it wasn't too hard to tell between the Magma Monsters and Lava Legends! Which team came out on top?

Our Bible theme for the day was Jesus Gives Us Power! We learned that we cannot obey God's instructions on our own. We need Jesus to give us the power to please God!

Our memory verse was 2 Corinthians 4:7: "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves."

Many campers also said a bonus verse for an extra thousand points! John 5:18 says, "For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him [Jesus], because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

During morning rotation, we heard a final lesson from our teachers and made our traditional Friday picture frame craft so we'll always remember this week of camp. We played a human-sized version of Hungry Hungry Hippos, then ate a real snack under the tent. And we thanked God for holding back the rain all day!

At the park, we had one more chat in our counselor groups and took a whole-camp photo before heading off to the Friday favorites -- dodgeball and water games!

Back at the church, the final scores were tallied, and the Magma Monsters came out with a victory! We had a great time singing and saying verses for our parents, then chowed down at a picnic with our families.

Thanks to all our parents, campers, and volunteers for another great year of Grace Bible Day Camp, where God Always Wins! See you next time!
