Friday at Grace Bible Day Camp
Friday was the last day of kingdom exploration at Grace Bible Day Camp!
The Military Ministry is getting busier as summer begins! Here are a few things they have been up to lately.
On Memorial Day, we honored the sacrifices made by members of the U.S. armed forces in our morning service. A special video reminded us of the debts we can never repay, and several members of the congregation testified of service members they had known who gave their lives for our nation's defense.
This spring, the Military Ministry gave plaques to several local elementary schools to thank them for their help in making cards for service members this past Christmas. The plaques were well-received by the principals of Grant Elementary, Royalview Elementary, Edison Elementary, and the Willoughby-Eastlake School of Innovation. Hopefully some of the principals will join us for the annual Honor Dinner in November!
On May 1, members of the Military Ministry attended Mentor High School's Military Commitment Ceremony. Pastor Steve Sindelar prayed for the new enlistees as part of the ceremony, thanking the Lord for their commitment and praying for their safety as they serve. These 10 enlistees from the class of 2018 speak volumes about their families and our community!
