Friday at Grace Bible Day Camp

Friday was the last day of kingdom exploration at Grace Bible Day Camp!

Grace Bible Day Camp Junior was so much fun! You couldn't fit more smiles and laughter in four days if you tried.

Our time travel destinations on Thursday were Preparation and Celebration. Our memory verse was John 14:2: "I go to prepare a place for you." We learned some final Bible lessons from our "mad scientist" teachers.

The main way we know Jesus came back to life is because the Bible, God’s true Word, tells us he did. After Jesus rose from the dead, he appeared to hundreds of people on earth, he ate fish and bread with his disciples, and the Church (all of God’s people) began to spread and spread, until here we are today still talking about Jesus! The Bible also tells us that today Jesus is in heaven preparing an actual place for all believers to live, acting as our go-between with God, and protecting, caring for, and building the Church. Christians look forward to living in the place he is preparing for us in Heaven.

Jesus always has been and always will be the King of all kings; but, during eternity, everyone will finally realize it. Even the people who didn’t believe Jesus was the King while they lived on earth will believe it during eternity. Sadly, they won’t get to live on the wonderful new earth because while they were living on earth, they refused to trust and obey Jesus as Lord. So they will be separated from all things good and joyful forever. If only they had believed and trusted Jesus! While we’re still here on earth and have time, it’s important to take Jesus seriously and realize he really is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

We were thankful for good weather so we could play outside all week long -- especially for our picnic! We wrapped up the week with free hot dogs, chips, and cookies for all the junior time travelers (along with soccer campers) and their families. See you next year -- or in 2 weeks for GBDC Elementary!
