What Is Discipleship?

At Grace, we make it our priority to help you learn about God and develop a personal relationship with Him. We are developing a culture where saints become committed followers of Jesus Christ through personal spiritual mentoring. We offer you the opportunity for a one-on-one or small-group Bible study. In time, you can be paired with a spiritual mentor who will carefully share the Word of God through a loving, accountable relationship.

Why Do We Disciple One Another?

The Lord Jesus commanded all believers to make disciples in Matthew 28:19-20. When we are born again, we are given a new life. We are added to the family of God, and Jesus invites us to grow alongside our new brothers and sisters as we seek to be like Him. You need the church, and the church needs you, for all of us to grow into Christ-likeness.

Discipleship is not a program that you complete, earn a certificate, and are finished with. It continues throughout a Christian’s whole life! You might meet with a spiritual mentor more or less often in different seasons; what you study may change; but the goal is always the same: growing in your knowledge of the Bible and living it out in the community of believers. Eventually, the goal of every Christian is to disciple another!
