On Day 3 of Grace Bible Day Camp Junior, we are really getting to know and love our new friends and "island guides" (counselors)!

We enjoyed more island games and crafts today, including making our own picture frame so we can save the memories of this week. Every islander got a special bracelet today that taught us the ABC's of salvation. You can read more about it here.

Today, Islanders discovered the best possible news on Mystery Island. God is Emmanuel. This means “God with us." We sinned against the great and almighty ruler. Instead of God destroying us, He made a way back to Him. This way was prophesied and foretold in the Old Testament. God would come as a man to sacrifice His life for us, who have rebelled against God. Our treasured verse sums it up perfectly: while we were sinners Christ still died for us. We don’t deserve Jesus. We are sinful, broken, and separated from God. Yet God in His love made a way of salvation. A way to be saved from His wrath against sinners. A way to be brought back to a right relationship with the God of the universe. Praise God for His love, mercy, and grace toward us!

Our treasure memory verse for the day was Romans 5:8: "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Don't forget that tomorrow, all our parents and families are invited to a closing program at 11:40 a.m. and a picnic at noon! Hope you can join us!
