We were so excited to welcome just over 200 campers to Mystery Island today on the first day of Grace Bible Day Camp!

Our two teams for the week are Tide Riders & Sand Commanders, who will be competing for points all week!

We spent the morning getting to know our new "islander" friends and "island guides" as we rotated through snacks, craft, games, and lesson time. Quiz time helped us remember what we learned from today's Bible lesson. After lunch, we played big group games at the park before coming back to the island to tell our parents how much fun we had.

As we began our discovery of Mystery Island, Islanders tracked down the first attribute of God, His GREATNESS. God showed His greatness in creation. He created a beautiful universe. We see His creation all around us such as islands and the animals on them. But what is the most precious creation He’s made? You! He created mankind. When we sinned against Him, He made a way for you and I to have a relationship with Him again. He isn’t like the false Greek gods that were made by man. These Greek gods had no relationship with man because well… they were made by man and therefore false gods! The true God created us, and therefore, we can’t make up our own God. God is who He says He is, and it’s our job to discover Him. God is GREAT and there are no other gods greater. Islanders will discover so much more of His greatness throughout the week.

Our treasured memory verse for the day was Psalm 145:3: "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable."
