On September 18, the Grace Church family enjoyed a special treat as part of our month to celebrate service in the local church. Carly Rawlings gave a sacred piano concert, playing her own arrangements of familiar hymns. She and her father, Chris Rawlings, also shared encouraging testimonies as part of the evening service. Carly Rawlings is senior piano pedagogy major at Bob Jones University and is currently traveling with the Bob Jones University Music Ministry Team. Her desire is to be used of God by ministering to others through teaching, playing, composing and arranging music. Carly’s love for piano was ignited by her grandmother who was her first piano teacher. Her grandmother demonstrates how to minister to others through the teaching of piano as she points her students to Christ through prayer, scripture, and loving instruction. Carly's first piano solo book, Come Lift Your Hearts, was published by SoundForth.
