One Legacy 2020 Goals

As we pursue God's vision for Grace Church of Mentor through 2030, we have intermediate goals for each year. Every goal is generated by a team that aligns with our church's mission statement: Grace Church of Mentor exists to glorify God by evangelizing the lost and equipping the saints with the goal of Christ-likeness.

The new goals for 2020 were presented during a Sunday evening service. Watch the full presentation below.

We began with a review of our church's Biblical Virtues.

List of Goals by Team

Glory (Pastor Steve)

We will carefully plan to expand and advance our physical assets and oversee souls according to our church mission statement.

• Develop an app for disciple making resources (Foundations, etc.).
• Develop a Grace Church app.
• Revise the social media plan and develop robust content to post.
• Provide leadership development through a summer ministry assistant position.
• Revise the group and church wide communication plans.

Reach (Pastor Mike)

We will effectively and strategically share the Gospel with our Jerusalem (Mentor and Lake County), Judea (Ohio), Samaria (the USA), and the uttermost parts of our world.

• Partner with the Equip Team to better equip and train our saints to share the Gospel at corporate outreach venues.
• Grace/Arch will initiate and maintain contact with 6 families planting churches, giving updates to Grace and the Arch Network.
• Two Reach Team members personally visiting a missionary family in need of encouragement.

Equip (Pastor Kent)

We will lead every saint at Grace Church from spiritual immaturity to maturity in Christ-likeness until Jesus returns.

Leadership Development

• A pathway document, like our disciple-making pathway document, that illustrates the development journey of each level of leadership service at Grace.

Disciple-Making

• Complete books 2 and 3 of the Foundations for Students series.
• A disciple-making resource page on our website for our church family.
• A 2020 revision of the Your Disciple-Making Life document.

Mobilize

• A pathway document to encourage members for how they might serve.

Dashboard

• Working metrics in the hands of our elders to aid in their spiritual oversight of our congregation.
• Specifically to provide the elders a visual on how members are growing in the graces of stewarding their time, talents and resources.

Please keep these goals in prayer, and contact any of the pastors if you would like to help with their team's tasks! It will take the involvement of every member to accomplish what God has for us this year!
