Equip Team Updates
- Category: Equip Team
- March 1, 2019
Our One Legacy teams give rotating monthly updates to keep the congregation informed. Below is the Equip team's update for March.
The Equip team's vision statement: We will lead every saint at Grace Church from spiritual immaturity to maturity in Christ-likeness until Jesus returns.
We are excited to share our list of goals for this new year!
Discipling Children and Teens
We are getting very close to having a junior copy of the Foundations book! This book will be aimed at upper elementary students and middle schoolers. After editing and graphic design is finished, the Disciple Kids group will study through the book on Sunday nights. After this pilot study, we will revise the content if needed and be ready to print a first edition to make available through the bookstore.
Leadership Development
Deacons continue to study the book On Being a Servant. The intent is for them to study through the book with another developing leader afterwards.
Our Church-Planting Internship is being renamed as the Church Ministry Internship. It is being developed as a tool for leadership development here at Grace as well as for those from other churches.
Spiritual Health
Another of our goals is to help the elders understand the spiritual health of our church family. This year, we want to identify 7 metrics for spiritual health, then determine how to collect data and present it in a meaningful way. By the end of the year, we will make these indicators of spiritual health available to the elders in a single place.
We will seek to identify a spiritual gift assessment with pastoral approval to make available to our people through GCM Online or some other means. We will investigate what is already available in GCM Online to help disciplers and disciples become more knowledgeable about their spiritual gifting.
Lastly, we will seek to understand the current state of our process of mobilizing people for service. We will suggest enhancements to the process and brainstorm ways the Equip team can help.
You Can Help!
Please continue praying for our spiritual progress in these areas! If any of these goals excite you and you'd like to help with their accomplishment, please contact me.
