Our One Legacy teams give rotating monthly updates. Our update for this month is from the Reach team!

The Reach team's vision statement: We will effectively and strategically share the Gospel with our Jerusalem (Mentor and Lake County), Judea (Ohio), Samaria (the USA), and the uttermost parts of our world.

Here are our REACH Team goals for 2019:

Goal #1

Evaluate the effectiveness of our current local corporate outreaches and, if necessary, suggest ways to modify, improve, or redirect these outreaches.

It has been almost 5 years since we’ve put together our Reach Team plan for 2030, and so this year we would like to revisit our “as is” status of what we are doing corporately as a church to reach our community. We hope to provide some helpful feedback to our leadership and church as we all move forward in reaching our community for Christ.

Pastor Mike is working with Ben Richard and Jim Dahlhausen on this goal, and they would welcome any feedback from our membership who regularly participates in our local corporate outreaches.

Goal #2

Continue to assist Arch Ministries staff with regularly updating the current membership roster, membership screening, and other infrastructure needs.

This year Jude Leary has joined our Reach Team, and she will help to provide helpful information given her role in Arch Ministries. By working together, we hope to better understand how we can assist Arch leadership and fellowship and to bring along more of the GCM membership to assist in needed areas.

Goal #3

Partner with the GCM Missions Committee to produce a summary tool of our current global missionary representation, and suggest areas of the world where our missions support can be strengthened.

In an effort to more effectively communicate with our church, we would like to work together with our Missions Committee. This committee focuses primarily on our global outreach and those missionaries that we currently support or would like to support. By the end of 2019, we would like to present a map that identifies our supported missionaries, and by doing so we hope to provide assistance to the Missions Committee as they work to bring on more missionaries and to have a Gospel presence that we currently do not have.

Much of this map is already completed, and we would like to include it along with a catalog of GCM-supported missionaries for our church family to use as a prayer tool. Lord willing these will be available by the end of 2019.

Please contact Pastor Mike Hixson with any questions.
