Reach Team Updates

Our One Legacy teams give rotating monthly updates. Our update for this month is from the Reach team!
The Reach team's vision statement: We will effectively and strategically share the Gospel with our Jerusalem (Mentor and Lake County), Judea (Ohio), Samaria (the USA), and the uttermost parts of our world.
Here are our Reach Team goals for 2019 and our progress:
Goal #1
Evaluate the effectiveness of our current local corporate outreaches and, if necessary, suggest ways to modify, improve, or redirect these outreaches.
It has been almost 5 years since we’ve put together our Reach Team plan for 2030, so this year we would like to revisit what we are doing corporately as a church to reach our community. Now that the summer is over and most of our corporate outreaches are complete, Reach team members Stephen Anderson, Jim Dahlhausen, Eric Hixson, and Rick Rumora will be talking with the overseers of each event and getting their feedback.
If you were part of any corporate outreach event these past few month – our booth in the KidShow at Great Lakes Mall, GBDC, the teen Ultimate Challenge, or the Mentor CityFest booth – we want to hear from you! Please contact Pastor Mike with your observations and any helpful suggestions for improvement.
Goal #2
Continue to assist Arch Ministries staff with regularly updating the current membership roster, membership screening, and other infrastructure needs.
This year Jude Leary has joined our Reach Team, and she is able to provide helpful information given her role in Arch Ministries. This coming month, we are connecting with multiple pastors here at Grace Church through disciple-making workshops. We are finding that these workshops serve as a way of connecting and partnering with other local churches – the whole point of ARCH Ministries! Please pray that God would give wisdom to our church leadership as God seems to be broadening our disciple-making influence through these venues.
Goal #3
Partner with the GCM Missions Committee to produce a summary tool of our current global missionary representation and suggest areas of the world where our missions support can be strengthened.
The Reach Team is working together with our Missions Committee as they help to present a map that identifies our supported missionaries and their locations, and by doing so we hope to provide assistance to the Missions Committee as they work to support more missionaries and have a Gospel presence in new areas. Much of this map is already completed, and we would like to include it along with a catalog of our supported missionaries for our church family to use as a prayer tool. Lord willing, these maps will be available by the end of 2019.
Please contact Pastor Mike Hixson with any questions.
