Our One Legacy teams will be rotating monthly updates, so we will hear from one team a month. Below is the Reach team's progress update for the month of October.

The Reach team's vision statement: We will effectively and strategically share the Gospel with our Jerusalem (Mentor and Lake County), Judea (Ohio), Samaria (the USA), and the uttermost parts of our world.

Acts 1:8 Communication Plan

Goal 1: To provide a plan whereby the people of Grace Church can be effectively informed of our ongoing local, national, and international evangelistic efforts.

This past year, we took a survey on how GCM can best communicate our missions activity. Your input has been really helpful, and you have already seen some of the adjustments made:

Pastor Tim has included more updates on local, national, and international missions in our family time on Sunday mornings. We've been able to see videos from pastors in North Carolina implementing a discipleship model, and we've seen how a team from Grace helped a church in Houston minister after Hurricane Irma. In addition, we've also been informed of church planting efforts in South Africa and Argentina. And in our own back yard, we've seen God work in souls at Grace accepting Christ and pursuing baptism.

For several months, we have had Acts 1:8 updates in our evening services, and some of those updates have been emailed to the rest of the congregation the following week. In each update, we try to communicate the most recent information from our own outreach (Jerusalem), our church plants and ARCH ministries (Judea/Samaria), and the missionaries that we support.

Personal Evangelism Training

Goal 2: To provide Grace Church with a resource of creative ways whereby members can continue to obey the Great Commission and to equip them to do the work of evangelism.

The Reach Team has put together a tool of evangelistic ideas to share with our congregation. This tool will be in the form of a bookmark that we'll be giving everyone this fall. On it are different ways that you can creatively build relationships with unbelievers in order to share the Gospel. Once this tool is completed, we will hand it out and explain its helpfulness. Our goal is to see everyone at Grace put one of those ideas (or an idea of their own!) into practice as he or she connects with the unbelievers in their lives.

Spiritual Reproduction

Goal 3: To see spiritual new birth grow by 20% of our current membership numbers. As it now stands, that goal is to see 80 souls saved.

This Sunday, we will have 3 more souls follow the Lord in baptism. As of October 1st, 32 souls have made professions of faith and 13 have obeyed the Lord in baptism.
