Friday was the last day of zooming around Zoomerang at Grace Bible Day Camp!

Mates capped off the Zoomerang adventure with a stop in the Outback of Coober Pedy. Ringo the Dingo is undeniably cute, but he also helped mates understand that not only are they made for a relationship with God, but for a specific purpose. God has a plan for each mate. Mates learned a big three-syllable word, “workmanship.” This word means we are God’s masterpiece or most important creation. God makes His workman holy and fit for service to Him. God has a plan for each mate to be like Jesus and to serve Him.

Our memory verse was Ephesians 2:10: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Zoomers & Boomers pulled out all the stops on team decorations for the last day of camp! In the morning, we did our traditional craft of a picture frame decorated with the Zoomerang theme, plus we colored masks with giant kangaroo ears. We tried to stay away from the dingoes in our morning game.

We enjoyed a longer afternoon at the park with lunch, one last "counselor time" to talk about what we've learned this week, and more fun games -- Dodgeball and a slip-and-slide! Once everyone was good and tired, we headed back on the busses.

After a long, fun day, we headed back to our Zoomerang Assembly for the final points tally, and the Zoomers won! Once the cheering died down, we welcomed our parents and siblings to our final closing assembly. Our now-seasoned "mates" showed their families all the verses and songs they learned this week, then we all enjoyed a picnic together.

We were thankful for great weather all week, and we're so glad to have met all of you. "Hooroo" until next year! Mark you calendars for July 24-28, 2023!
