Friday was the last day of Grace Bible Day Camp (tear). Today was Wear Your Team Color Day, so it wasn't too hard to tell between the Sharks and Sting Rays! Which team came out on top?

Our Bible theme for the day was Fear God! We learned that fearing God means taking Him seriously and worshiping Him with our lives. Only those who have trusted Christ as their Savior can really worship God. Our memory verse was Psalm 112:1: "Praise the Lord! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments."

Many campers also said a bonus verse for an extra thousand points! 1 Peter 3:18: "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit."

During morning rotation, we made our traditional Friday picture frame craft and heard a final lesson from our teachers. We played a couple more games and snacked on fishing poles made of pretzel rods and twizzler strings. And we thanked God that the rain didn't last long!

Our afternoon excursions brought more time to talk with our counselors, and the Friday favorite -- water games!

We returned to the USS Grace for the final score: the Sharks won by quite possibly the closest margin in GBDC history!

Our parents heard the verses and songs we learned this week during the closing program. Then everyone went outside for a yummy picnic.

Thank you, parents, campers, and volunteers for another great year at Grace Bible Day Camp, where God Always Wins! Save the date for GBDC 2017: July 24-28 for elementary, and July 10-14 for Junior camp.
