Friday at Grace Bible Day Camp

Friday was the last day of kingdom exploration at Grace Bible Day Camp!

It was an exciting Day 3 at Grace Bible Day Camp Junior! We especially loved today's science experiment. You could say it was over-the-top!

Today our destination was the Visitation of Jesus, God on earth! Our memory verse was John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

We learned that Jesus always has been and always will be ready to love and forgive all those who want to become his children.

About 4,000 years after Jesus created everything, God sent his Son, Jesus, to the earth as a baby, just as he had promised. Jesus was still 100% God and also 100% man at the same time. It’s really a super cool mystery we can never completely understand! Jesus was the son of a carpenter and had brothers and sisters. When he was around 30 years old, Jesus was baptized and for 3 years he healed, taught, and cared for people. Even though he lived a perfect life, many men hated him and put him to a horribly painful death on a cross. God had a plan to come and rescue us. He promised he would send a Savior, and Jesus was it! So, Jesus stayed on the cross and took all our sin upon him because he loves us.

Jesus coming, living, dying, and coming back to life is the most important thing to ever happen because you’re born a sinner, spiritually separated from God, who is holy and can’t allow sin in his presence. And because of that, you won’t be able to live in heaven someday unless someone comes to rescue you. Amazingly, Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost—spiritually lost from him. He wants you to be his child. Because of your sin, you aren’t his child automatically. He wants you to have fellowship with him now and to live with him forever someday. But to do that, you need to Admit, Believe, and Commit, as our bracelets remind us. Please visit our ABC web page to learn more.

Thursday is our last day of junior camp! We will wrap up the week tomorrow with a closing program at 11:40 a.m. to show our parents what we've been learning. Afterwards, there will be a picnic for all our time travelers' families. We hope you can all stay!
