The Youth Group is wrapping up summer with more times to hang out and our highly-anticipated basketball competition.

Several times a year, the youth group gets together on a Sunday evening for some extra fellowship time. In mid-July, we had a "Youth After Church" at the Hixsons' house. We enjoyed some games, food, and hanging out around the fire.

Ultimate Challenge is a fall highlight for anyone who likes basketball. The tournament was held once again at the Mentor High School gyms. About 120 competitors and 40 spectators gathered on Tuesday night for a 3-on-3 basketball competition. Teams competed for the top spot on the court in junior varsity, varsity, and post-grad divisions.

Before the tournament started, our youth pastor shared a challenge from God's Word, explaining the ABCs of the Gospel and how we were created to have a relationship with God.

60 minutes of fast-paced basketball ensued. Whoever was on the top court at the final buzzer took home the prize. Winning teams received gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods, and several more won raffle prizes.

The night ended with plenty of pizza for the hungry players. All who attended are invited back to Grace Church for Youth Group any Sunday or Wednesday!
