Lessons from the Life of Samson

Judges 13-16

1. God does not ordain sin. Samson voluntarily chose to disobey.
2. We must say "no" to fleshly temptation, unlike Samson (Galatians 5:16).
3. God uses flawed people and their choices to accomplish His purposes.
4. Foolish is the person who puts confidence in his or her own strength, wisdom, or riches (Jeremiah 9:23-24).
5. Continually putting yourself in positions which may cause you to compromise will lead to disaster.
6. Certain sins have life-long consequences.
